Air quality levels have returned to the lower YELLOW range as high pressure keeps sliding down from the north and helps a more maritime-type trajectory start to setup. This air mass will be centered over the Atlantic and will feed our state with southeast winds and allow temperatures and dewpoints to increase as the week progresses. AQI reading are expected to remain in the lower YELLOW range until a coastal low tries to develop and further influences a southeasterly wind pattern. This, along with increased chances for rain later in the week, should help AQI levels to return to the GREEN range by Thursday. As this high drifts east and another front tries to push into the southeast, there may be a risk of more Canadian wildfire smoke coming into the region this weekend. Stay tuned for updates.
