4-H Overnight Camp 2023 for Youth Ages 5-17

We know your child will love canoeing on the lake, hiking, climbing the rock wall, swimming in our pool, and learning archery this summer! Not only will your child have the best summer ever, but 4-H camps provide one of the best values for residential summer camp in the state! There are three 4-H camps in the state:

Age Groups
There are programs available for different age groups:

  • Cloverbuds, ages 5-7, $300
  • Traditional, ages 8-12, $525
  • Adventurer, ages 12-14, $525, outdoor living skills and includes a two-night on-site campout, and learns fire building, orienteering, outdoor cooking, tent set-up, and have the opportunity to go down the zip-line at high ropes.
  • Trekker, ages 12-14, $575, overnight, off-site camp-out and trip that includes more advanced activities.
  • Leader-in-Training, ages 15-17, $300-400, Older campers can develop their leadership skills by serving as a junior counselor ANY week of camp

  • Advanced Fur, Fish, and Game Camp, Ages 13-16, July 16-21, $650, Millstone 4-H Center
  • Camp Canvasback, Ages , $650, July 16-21, Eastern 4-H Center
  • 4-H Adventure Camp, Ages 13-14, July 16-21 $650, Eastern 4-H Centr
  • Traditional Camp, Ages 8-17, July 23-28, $650, Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center

Ready to Sign Up? You can register directly with the camp, OR register with the County Extension Center to save up to $100 on your registration costs and/or to find out about financial aid and scholarships. Reserve your space with a $75 deposit, non-refundable deposit. Checks can be made payable to Forsyth County 4-H and hand-delivered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday (note we will be closed on Good Friday, April 7, and on Friday, April 28 from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) or you can mail checks or money orders to Forsyth County 4-H, 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Youth do NOT have to be currently enrolled in 4-H, but should register in 4-H Online.

Scholarship Information Our NC 4-H Camping office is offering a limited number of scholarships during our week for campers who meet the vulnerable youth population requirement. You must place a deposit before applying for a scholarship. If you are denied a scholarship, we will work with you to secure funding. If we are unable to secure funding, we will refund your deposit.
