On February 8, 2018 a fire occurred in the Laundry Center of the Law Enforecement Detention Center due to an overhead heater element exploding. The sparks caught a couple of sheets on fire. Officer Brown saw this and immediately put the fire out by smothering it with a jumpsuit. She then notified her supervisor and the Shift Commander. Her quick reaction kept the fire from getting out of hand and causing further damage.

Ofiicer Brown has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office since 2000.
