All Open Burning Banned Due to Increased Fire Risk

Due to increased fire risk, the NC Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and cancelled all burning permits statewide, effective in all 100 counties at 8:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, until further notice. The Forsyth County Fire Marshal's office has also issued a burn ban for all of Forsyth County effective March 21 at 8:00 a.m..

Until further notice, outdoor burning of any type is unlawful and prohibited.
