Forsyth County commissioners voted unanimously to purchase 5.46 acres of property in Tobaccoville on Oct. 21, which will be used to access the county’s Rolling Hills property, connecting it to Doral Drive. The property had previously been identified as surplus due to the limited access to the property on the Northeast side.
This acquisition will allow much improved access to over 186 acres of property currently owned by the County will make the land accessible for future uses, to include institutional and recreational.
“Now that the access to the property is improved, we can begin the master planning process to include public input” said County Manager Dudley Watts.
