Practice interview sessions for the 4-H Application, Interview, and Electronic video contest (AIRE) will be hosted via Zoom for all Forsyth 4-H members ages 11-18. Sessions can be scheduled during weekday afternoons through the following Sign-Up Genius online poll between June 1 and June 29, and will last approximately 20-25 minutes.
AIRE is a workforce development and college prep program open to youth ages 11-18. Forsyth 4-H is hosting a series of practice interviews to prepare applicants for the interview portion of the contest. Youth must be active in 4-H Online, but any youth that wishes to gain experience in video-based interviews may participate, not just members involved in the AIRE contest. The practice interviews are designed to allow participants to gain experience in interviewing for jobs, colleges, and internships.
FINAL Applications and resumes are due by NOON June 17! Learn more at https://forsyth.ces.ncsu.edu/2021/05/4-h-application-interview-resume-and-electronic-video-contest/
Interested participants will sign up for an individual interview, and any who are participating in the AIRE contest will sign up for an additional paired interview at a later date. Indicate when you sign up if you are an AIRE applicant to receive the paired interview invitation. The paired interviews will follow the formatting of the official AIRE contest interview, where two participants will be in the same interview, but are not in competition with each other and will answer questions from individualized pools of questions.
When signing up for a practice interview slot, be sure to only select times where an adult has agreed to and is available to watch the interview (such as a parent or another trusted adult). The interview can be recorded if you would like to be able to review your answers after the conclusion of the interview. Indicate whether you want it recorded when signing up for time slots.
Practice interviews can be scheduled through an online poll at the following link: Sign-Up Genius online poll. Please select times where an adult (parent or friend) has agreed to watch the interview with you. If you have any problems meeting this requirement, or have any questions about this process, please email Anika Parks at aparks3@ncsu.edu for more information.
