4-H Virtual Fashion Revue

Have you sewn something that you can wear and model? Would you like to enter it in the 4-H Virtual Fashion Revue? The entry or entries do not have to be a full outfit, but they must be something you can wear and model such as a dress, skirt and a blouse, pajama pants, apron, shorts, etc. because you will be judged on the fit of the garment.

County entries are due Friday, May 29 via Google Form and must include a photograph of the youth wearing their garment with the Google Form. All Cloverbud entries (youth ages 5-7) and the top three entries in both Junior (youth ages 8-13 on January 1, 2020) and Senior (youth ages 14-18 on January 1, 2020) will advance to the district competition which will take place on Friday, June 26 via Zoom. Interviews for district will take place at an assigned time while the participant is wearing their garment. Youth should have access to a computer with a camera and either audio access. Parents MAY supervise the Zoom. Interview times will be sent out the week of June 15.

For district competition, each child will be required to have a video of their garment’s seams inside and outside. Youth will video their garment, following the seams all along the inside of the garment and then the outside of the garment, as well as the closures working (Zippers/buttons, etc.). This can be submitted in segments or as one whole video. If you are absolutely unable to video, we can accept photographs. Note that this video is NOT required for County, BUT is due by Thursday, June 11 if your garment is to be entered in district competition. Videos may be submitted to awbowman@ncsu.edu or shared with awbowman@ncsu.edu via Google Drive.

4-H’ers will receive awards at a later date, but they will still receive them! We are going to wait until we can be all together again to give those out on the county and district levels.

Garments that are entered in the Fashion Revue MAY also be entered in the Non-Performing 4-H Talent Show this fall.

Youth participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online .
