Joel Hausser, TN Bee Inspector, will be the guest speaker for the March 7, 2020 Forsyth County Beekeepers Association (FCBA) meeting. Previously in California, he worked on almond and wildflower projects, and was once was in a partnership with 800 hives for pollination. He will discuss his findings for small hive beetle control in and around our hives. In addition to varroa mites and pollination needs, small hive beetles are a problem in beekeeping that beekeepers must be prepared to handle. Please join FCBA to find out what works, and what doesn't, in controlling this beetle. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. with a potluck meal, followed by the presentation and then a general business meeting. All FCBA monthly meetings take place at N.C.
