Forsyth County Government is partnering with Wake Forest Baptist Health to open a new Employee Health & Wellness Clinic on Jan. 22.
The clinic, located on the county’s Human Services Campus, will serve county employees, their dependents and retirees who are enrolled in the county’s medical insurance plan. The clinic’s services include sick visits, wellness exams, health management, and counseling services for employees only. The clinic’s services are free to employees, except for some laboratory services.
The clinic will start serving county employees and retirees on Jan. 22 and will open its services to dependents ages 2 and up on April 1. An open house was held on Jan. 16 that was met with enthusiastic responses from many employees.
"We are very excited to offer the convenience of an on-site clinic for our employees and retirees with medical insurance,” said Marcy Jackson, Forsyth County Human Resources deputy director. “I have heard positive comments of appreciation from employees during the past few weeks leading up to the open house.”
The clinic is part of the voluntary Healthkick Forsyth County Wellness Program with Wake Forest Baptist Health, which includes screenings, health coaches, wellness activities, educational workshops, and wellness incentives for county employees. Employees do not have to be signed up for Healthkick to use the new clinic.
“We are excited to partner with Forsyth County Government in making the health and wellness of their employees a top priority,” said Danielle Lamphier, Associate VP Health and Wellness at Wake Forest Baptist Health. “We believe that this new clinic will give employees and their families convenient, easy access to quality healthcare that will improve their health and overall lives.”
