Visit your local Tractor Supply this fall and purchase a paper clover to help Forsyth County 4-H members attend 4-H camps and leadership events.
Every year, 4-H’ers in Forsyth County participate in a number of 4-H programs to help improve their knowledge and leadership skills. This fall, local Forsyth County Tractor Supply stores are continuing their long-standing partnership with 4-H for the 2019 Fall Paper Clover Campaign to make it possible for more youth in the community to experience 4-H youth-led, hands-on programming.
October 9- October 20, 2019, Forsyth County Tractor Supply customers can participate in the 2019 Fall Paper Clover campaign by purchasing paper clovers for $1 or more at checkout. The funds raised will be awarded as scholarships to individual Forsyth County 4-H’ers wishing to attend 4-H camps and leadership conferences across the country. The number of scholarships distributed to youth following the fall campaign will be determined based on the total amount raised.
“In the past year, funds that were raised from the campaign have assisted youth from Forsyth County in attending a National Conference in Washington, DC, paid for youth to attend residential camp, attend NC 4-H Congress, NC 4-H Citizenship Focus, District 4-H Teen Retreat, and helped sponsor our Forestry team with competing nationally. The support and fundraising opportunity provided by Tractor Supply is imperative to many of our youth because it brings awareness to the community about the great opportunities that 4-H provide.”- Monique Pearce-Brady and April Bowman, 4-H Agents.
Since it began in 2010, the partnership between Tractor Supply and 4-H has generated more than $14,000,000 in essential funding. The Paper Clover fundraiser, which takes place in the spring and fall, raised over $1,000,000 during the Fall 2018 campaign. The fundraising efforts directly support numerous 4-H programs in Forsyth County.
