On Saturday, June 15 head to N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Forsyth County Center to learn from the experts! In the Demonstration Garden at Extension, you’ll find beautiful flowers, vegetables, small fruits, and more.
Extension Master Gardener Volunteers will be available from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. to talk about the gardens, answer questions, and give gardening advice. Visitors are invited to come and go as they please during this event. Comfortable footwear is recommended.
June is a wonderful time to view the gardens and get inspired about what to grow in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. A unique feature of Forsyth County’s Demonstration Garden is the pawpaw orchard, showcasing dozens of varieties of this native fruit tree. You’ll also find examples of small-scale fruit and vegetable gardens, and ornamental flowers, trees and shrubs for both sun and shade.
No registration is required for this free event! We hope to see you there.
