2014 Detention Staff Member of the Year

On January 11, 2014, Detention Officer Wilson was conducting lock down in his dormitory to ensure all cell doors securely latched and locked. While checking the doors, Detention Officer Wilson discovered a potential security breach. He advised supervision and the information was disseminated throughout the facility. Officers were able to terminate the spread of the potential security breach, which could have resulted in assaults or escape attempts.

Detention Officer Wilson became employed with the Forsyth County Detention Bureau in June of 2008. His enthusiastic and optimistic demeanor often transfers to those he works with. Detention Officer Wilson is a member of the Security Threat Group, which helps identify gang issues within the Detention Center. He is also a Field Training Officer and a member of the Honor Guard Team. Detention Officer Wilson serves as a translator for the FCSO, Detention medical staff and other outside agencies. Detention Officer Wilson is also an Armed Detention Officer in conjunction with his primary duties.

Detention Officer Wilson continually displays professionalism, dedication, unselfishness, pride in his work and an ability to maintain a high level of unquestionable sprit. As a result of the overall contributions of Detention Officer Wilson during 2014, he has set himself apart from his peers by going above and beyond.
