The Cooperative Extension Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will be hosting a pasture pork conference in Greensboro, NC. There will be sessions for beginner and advanced participants to choose from. There will be a great line-up of speakers from NC State, NC A&T, and out-of-state universities. Topics include: breeds, feeding, housing, economics, marketing, environmental considerations, pastures, forages, fencing, feral swine program update, and MORE! The Pasture Pork conference begins with a pre-conference farm tour from 1-4pm in Alamance County and an evening presentation at NC A&T State University. The one day conference will be held at the Guilford Convention Center, 3114 Cedar Park Rd. in Greensboro from 8 am until 6 pm on Thursday February 12, 2015. There will be sessions for beginning and advanced livestock farmers. The conference is free to attend but registration is required. Pre-conference travel is on your own.
