This Summer, Forsyth County Parks and Recreation partnered together with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Office of Parental Involvement on the first annual Amazing Summer Escape Challenge!
Join us at Hanes Mall on Saturday, August 18, 2012, from 10 am – 2 pm for the official finale for the event!
If you have been participating this past summer in the Escape Challenge, be sure to bring your ESCAPE Passport to enter into one of the three different drawing boxes! Your chances of winning awesome prizes is increased with the more stamps and stickers you have from different programs throughout the Challenge!
The first annual Amazing Summer Escape was a great way to encourage, guide, and support learning opportunities for all ages throughout our community. There were different challenges to the program that encompassed reading, safety, health and fitness, character and community service, math and science, play and learn, and arts exploration and enrichment.
Tanglewood Park’s summer initiatives was our Tuesdays at Tanglewood nature programs! We began these programs in the Summer of 2011 and brought the program back this past Summer. Visit our exhibit table at the Finale on August 18 to learn more about the programs we offered and what all Tanglewood Park provides for the community!
