Latino HIV/AIDS Awareness Week
October 15th is National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). This day marks an opportunity to increase awareness of the devastating and disproportionate effects of AIDS in the Latino community. NLAAD is also a day to encourage HIV testing and to push for support from public officials and religious leaders.
In an effort to increase awareness, Latino POSSE (Prevent Ongoing Spread of STI's Everywhere) has planned a week long effort of HIV/AIDS education and prevention activities in support of National Latino HIV/AIDS Awareness day. All information will be available in Spanish. Join POSSE at any of the testing sites during Latino Awareness Week.
