Practice Interview Workshop for Job Seekers
What does it take to find success in today’s job market? It takes time, energy, perseverance and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively with potential employers. Many job seekers work hard to get to the actual interview only to stumble and fail to close the deal. An interview can often be the make or break portion of a job search making it vitally important that job prospects are fully prepared to make a lasting positive impression with an interviewer.
To help job seekers make the best possible impression in interviews, the Library’s Job Seeking series, Survive & Thrive, will hold a special job interview workshop. Participants will not only pick up tips from local Human Resource professionals about developing interviewing skills, but also have the opportunity to do a mock job interview with a Human Resource representative from the local business community. After the interview, the HR representative will provide valuable input about your interview.
Monday, June 8th, noon to 1:30 PM, Central Library Auditorium. Reservations are recommended but not required. Call 703-2908 to register or e-mail
shoafa2@forsythlibrary.org for more information. Don’t forget to bring along a current resume and to dress appropriately for an interview.
