Manor House Welcomes New Chef
Guests at the Tanglewood Manor House Bed and Breakfast can now wake up to a gourmet breakfast served by executive chef Delbert Gray.
Mark Serosky, Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Director, welcomes Delbert to Tanglewood Park. ”I have known him for only a short period of time, but I am already impressed with his hospitality and kindness to the Manor House guests and staff. Delbert is a fine addition to the County Parks and Recreation Department.”
Chef Gray has a passion for food that has been passed down for generations. His father was a chef for 47 years and his grandfather for 40. In addition to being raised by chefs, Mr. Gray has trained for 27 years under some of Winston-Salem’s top chefs including Old Town Country Club’s Chef Peter Carroll and Ryan’s Restaurant’s Chef Paul Lange.
Something that is not part of the chef’s curriculum but the thing that makes Chef Gray stand out, is his hospitality. Delbert makes sure that each and every one of his guests feel special and wants each of them to know that he truly cares about them and their experience at Tanglewood.
Chef Gray serves breakfast specials such as steaks and hash browns, pounded, seasoned chicken breast with rice and eggs and his favorite dish, eggs benedict with a homemade hollandaise sauce. He will soon be working on 3 to 4 signature dishes that guests can choose from for their dining pleasure.
