During the month of June, Detention Officer P. Morrissey was assigned as Male Intake Officer of the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. On June 25, 2020, Detention Officer Morrissey conducted a routine and systematic search of the Intake area. Officer Morrissey located contraband hidden in the Magistrate's Office. Due to Detention Officer Morrissey’s attention to detail and his adherence to Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office search policy, he prevented contraband from making it to a housing unit. This type of contraband could cause harm to residents and officers within the facility. Detention Officer Morrissey keeps the safety and security of the facility a top priority while performing his daily responsibilities.
