On September 21, 2019, Officer S. Green received information from an inmate that illegal drugs were in a cell on the female floor. Officer Green responded to that location and began a thorough search. Officer Green also checked both inmates who were assigned to the cell but no drugs were located in the cell or on either inmate. Officer Green received additional information regarding another cell that may contain illegal drugs. Officer Green contacted her supervisor, Sgt. W. Owens, who immediately searched the second cell and found illegal drugs. Based on the quick response of both Officer Green and Sgt. Owens, contraband was located and removed from an inmate housing area. Officer Green and Sgt. Owens are the Detention Staff Members of the Month for September.
