October Detention Staff Members of the Month

Pfc. Adams has been employed by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since October of 2006. During her years of service she has worked many areas of the Detention Center such as 6 South, general population, Intake, Public Lobby and has been in her current assignment in Records for three years.

On 08/17/12, while assigned to Intake Processing, Pfc. Adams discovered a small bag of cocaine in an inmate’s personal property. The substance was returned to the arresting officer, who placed it with the other evidence he had collected against the inmate.

Due to Pfc. Adams keen observation, attention to detail and due diligence, the illegal drugs were confiscated and the safety and security of the Forsyth County Detention Center was upheld.

Pfc. Hamm has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since July 2010. He is currently assigned to Intake, as a Male Intake Officer. Pfc. Hamm is also an active member of the Special Response Team.

Pfc. Hamm is extremely thorough in regards to his duties as a Male Intake Officer. He presents himself in a professional manner and remains calm in stressful situations. Pfc. Hamm does an outstanding job conducting thorough and systematic searches of inmates and their personal property. Pfc. Hamm was conducting a search of an inmate in the Intake sally port area and found illegal drugs on an arrestee entering the facility. He confiscated a green leafy substance that was found in an arrestee’s right front pants pocket. The substance tested positive for marijuana. His thorough searching technique prevented illegal drugs from being smuggled into the detention center. Pfc. Hamm’s diligence prevented contraband from reaching any other incarcerated inmates.
